BAHT Education - Courses and Conferences
BAHT Validated Courses
Have you ever thought about running a BAHT validated course?
- Have you been put off by the administration or just the daunting size of the job? Then read on ...
- To date, every validated course run has made a profit for the organisers. Think what your department could do with some extra money (increase your training budget, buy books, education posters or new equipment, the list is endless).
- Level I courses are the easiest to run, with a set programme, reading list and exam. All you need to do is organise venue and teaching. If you do not want to do the teaching yourself you can organise external speakers.
- level II courses can be on a range of topics. So far these have included Trauma, Assessment, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ortotics, Burns and the Wrist. If you are interested in running one previously run we can provide you with sample programmes. We can provide you with a person to liaise with who has previously run these courses and can help you through the administration.
- Do not forget that if you teach on a validated course you gain Educator points so you can be working your way towards gaining your BAHT points without attending courses.
- As I am sure you are aware the demand for validated courses far outstrips the supply. For a BAHT Post Graduate Education system to work and in order to increase the standing of Hand Therapy in the United Kingdom we need to see more courses run.
- If any of this strikes a cord and you would like to discuss the possibilities with someone on the Education Committee, please contact us, no strings attached!
