BAHT Education Sub-Committee (ESC)

The ESC aims to promote and facilitate post graduate hand therapy education, through validation of Level I and Level II courses and certain modules of post graduate courses, which qualified occupational therapists and physiotherapists can complete to gain points towards becoming an Accredited Hand Therapist (BAHT).  The Level III award is given for research or further study submitted for level III points.

There is also an established system for accrediting therapists’ prior learning and this may be a route more experienced therapists will choose to become an Accredited Hand Therapist (BAHT).

The ESC co-ordinate and approve applications for the AHT award at their meetings and, through working with educators and academic institutions, actively promote the award through development of new course ideas
