Collagenase in the Management of Dupuytren’s Disease

The Role of Steroid Injection for forearm/wrist and hand tendinopathy

Learning Outcomes: Hand therapists will be able to:

  • Understand the relevance of Collagenase in the management of Dupuytren’s contracture
  • Be aware of potential complications following collagenase treatment and how to limit/manage these
  • Be able to plan post operative hand therapy programmes for patients following treatment with Xiapex
  • Understand the indications and contraindications for steroid injection in the hand
  • Recognise when and how steroid injection facilitates hand therapy and its interaction with other modalities.
