BAHT Conference 2018 , 9-10th November, Birmingham
Tickets available, please click on 'Registration' on the right
The call for abstracts for the 2018 BAHT conference is now open!
Abstracts are welcome on any hand and upper-limb related theme. It would be great to hear from therapists looking at one of the BSSH or CSP top 10 research priorities (but this is not essential):
The deadline for submission is Friday 3 August 2018.
Abstracts must be plain text only (no tables, references or colour) and a maximum of 300 words excluding the title. Please indicate whether you would prefer to present your abstract as a free paper (oral presentation) or poster.
Please structure your abstract as follows:
- Objectives: 1-2 sentences that clearly indicate the main study question(s) and its clinical importance
- Methods: Sufficient information to understand the experimental design and the analytical techniques used
- Results: Objective data in answer to the study question(s)
- Conclusions: Conclusions that are directly supported by the study results and their implications for clinical practice. Avoid overgeneralisation
The conference will be held in Birmingham on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November. Please check the BAHT website for more details.
Please email your abstracts as a word file to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 3 August deadline. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept late submissions. Please send two copies of your abstract, one including the author(s) names and affiliations and an anonymous copy for peer review.
Authors will be informed of the outcome of their application by Monday 3 September. Successful applicants will be eligible for tickets priced at the early-bird rates. There will be no other discount. Please purchase your tickets either before the end of the early-bird discount (29 July), or after being informed of the outcome of your application (when we will provide successful applicants with a non-transferable discount code).
Please format the author(s) and affiliations as follows:
Authors – First name and surname, no titles or qualifications. Please use superscript numbers to indicate different institutional affiliations e.g. Joanna Bloggs1
Affiliations – Name of department, name of hospital/academic institution, city, country e.g. 1 Hand Therapy, St Elsewhere Healthcare NHS Trust, Nowhere Town, UK
We look forward to hearing from you!!
