We are excited to announce that an opportunity has arisen for a full time fixed term 12 month Band 7 Specialist Hand Therapist post within our MSK Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Outpatients Department. We are seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with experience in the hand therapy and splinting to join our excellent team of clinicians.

We are a dynamic team actively involved in multidisciplinary clinics within Rheumatology, Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic Departments.

We offer patients remote consultations via telephone and video as well as face to face appointments and are a paper-light service using SystmOne record keeping and electronic exercise prescription.

You will be joining a team of highly skilled Hand Therapists and Physiotherapists working across three satellite clinics with excellent Technical Instructor and Administrative support.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to deliver highest quality, patient-centred care. The post holder will provide a high standard of assessment and treatment for a range of acute and long term hand conditions and will be required to fabricate custom fitting splints for patients.

The department is committed to CPD and you will be given regular supervision sessions, in-service training and access to professional development opportunities.

The service sits within the dynamic and evolving Therapy Group which brings all Therapy services together to work in collaboration to ensure strong governance and leadership. Within the Group there are opportunities for multi-professional learning and service development.
