Hand Therapy MSc Courses Summary

BAHT continues to strive to develop links with higher education facilities to assist post graduate hand therapy education for therapists specialising in this field.

Currently in the United Kingdom (UK) there are two universities offering MSc modules / courses specifically directed at therapists wanting to develop their skills in the assessment and treatment of the upper limb with an emphasis on the hand. 

  • University of Derby 
  • University of Essex 

Therapists can undertake stand alone MSc modules related to hand therapy or can complete specific modules enabling them to gain 12 points towards the British Association of Hand Therapists Accreditation (AHT) process or can complete a range of modules to gain an MSc.
