The Hand Therapy Team consists of 7 therapists and we are looking to recruit an innovative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join us. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with highly experienced consultants and hand therapy staff within a friendly environment. The post will entail cross site working but will predominantly be based at Denmark Hill. We endeavor to provide the best possible environment in which to learn and develop, the post includes protected professional development time and access to a range of education opportunities is available internally as well as externally.
The post holder will work with a predominantly outpatient based caseload, but will also now have the opportunity to be involved with our new and exciting (ward based) polytrauma service. You will be expected to provide a high level of care for patients referred from areas including Non-surgical and post-surgical Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Rheumatology and local GP practices.
You will be required to supervise and act as a role model for more junior members of the team and students when required.
This post will provide a fantastic opportunity to learn, advance and utilize management and service development skills to facilitate the evolution of the Hand Therapy service across the King’s organisation. Requests for flexible working, such as compressed hours or job sharing would be considered.
